We study microbial pathogenesis, primarily for Chlamydia trachomatis, non-Ct Chlamydia spp., zoonotic Chlamydia spp. and Chlamydia-like organisms (CLOs); ocular, urogenital and rectal microbiomes; host-pathogen interactions; host immune responses; and epidemiologic studies of sexually transmitted and trachoma populations.
